New Path (Addictive Disorders)

Parkridge Valley offers a “New Path” for adults 18 – 64 years of age with addictions and co-occurring disorders. New Path is an integral part of the adult treatment modality. Services include:

  • Multi-disciplinary assessment
  • Medically supervised detoxification
  • Medication management/stabilization/education
  • Psychoeducational classes (i.e. illness specific education)
  • Group therapy
  • Family education
  • 12-Step recovery classes/groups
  • Activity therapy
  • Discharge planning to appropriate level of care (i.e. Professional Program, PHP, IOP, or Outpatient therapy)

The multi-disciplinary treatment team consists of licensed psychiatrists, certified master’s level social workers or counselors, registered nurses, licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselors, activity therapists and registered dieticians.

While the program focuses on alcohol and drugs, it also addresses other compulsive disorders.
